As the founder of Movekelownaforward.com, I also would like to welcome you to this forum site, where we can discuss our views and suggestions for the future growth of Kelowna.
As we all know, Kelowna is one of the fastest growing cities in BC if not Canada. And unlike some people who wish to cap the population at 100,000 people and force people to live in the outlying areas, Kelowna will continue to attract people from all around the world for it's outstanding beauty and lifestyle.
In the future you will see more developments being proposed, I hope that you will take the time to read about the developments, decide on how you feel and use our site to write a letter either FOR or AGAINST.
Thank you for your time Duane Movekelownaforward.com

Hi! Yes Kelowna's growing, no doubt about that, although can we really afford to deplete our resources at the expense of a higher population, if you have children what about their future. Should we allow huge development in just to say look how many high rises we have, but wait don't go around the corner because the homeless are over there and they won't go to Vernon.. Sorry to say if the city does decide that we must support the big developer or big business, we best take a good look at what is important around us do something about it, most of the homeless that i have talked too do not want a hand out but dignity, they are asking for more job programs and lower cost housing once they do find work or their training is done they are asking for respect. not pity. the land can not be sh. t upon and think that repercussion will not following the after math, we are always going to be faced with big developers and big business the question is how do we deal with it. be bullied into what city hall says so or do stand up for our selves in any matter or concerns, issues that s our right to not only for ourselves but for our children's'.
