Yesterday John Zeger and his group made comments wondering if the Lawson landing had been given pre-approved after viewing a painting. Well for accuracy sake here is the actual post that was made. I am doing this so we will not be accused of paraphrasing anything and full credit of this statement will go to the writer John Zeger. “There is a new painting on the side of a public restroom on the Queensway parking lot at the waterfront depicting a street along the waterfront near the Sails on which there are five highrise buildings. As Mayor Walter Gray claims that Lawson Landing doesn't have city council pre-approval, where did the artist get this concept from as there presently are no highrises in the area? Or perhaps this is a deliberate attempt by the city to get the public used to the idea of highrises on the waterfront.”Below is the picture that he is talking about. First I would say that I have no idea where he gets the idea this is about Lawson Landing, clearly it shows Bernard ave and the building on the LEFT hand side of the street, not the right where Lawson Landing should be going. Secondly, I am sure the artist got his ideas from just walking down the street and seeing the buildings that were already there. Thirdly, is this an attempt by the city to get us used to highrises on the waterfront, well why would they as we already have those with the grand and dolphin’s located on the waterfront? After being sent this quote and then actually reading this on the CRCP site, I just had to share this view from the CRCP with everyone. Oh by the way, on the other side of the bathroom there is a sailboat and the Ogopogo. Could the city be telling us that we own a sailboat and Ogopogo is actually watching us? Look at the picture? You be the judge?

Wow.... Zeger sure figured it out...... hahaha..... i bet he sleeps with a gun under his pillow at night now, awaiting the citys equivalent of the KGB to come and off him for figuring out their citizen brainwashing scheme. I would give him $100 to go to CHBC with this groundbreaking discovery of his. I really wish that the whole city could have a little glimpse at this and see just what an incredible (or should i say un-credible) old lunatic this guy really is hahaha. But seriously though... who is that paranoid over all this??? Its one thing to be determined in your plight but this guy is becoming delusional.

alright guys, we don't need to be attacking him or his group. we already know that they see things differently than we do, but we don't need to sink to their level of blind assumptions and attacks.
anyways, The paintings that are being refered to have nothing to do with city hall as a matter of fact. and Lawsons Landing has NOT been pre-approved.
í forget who is responsible for the paintings, but i'll find out so that Mr. Zeger can direct his attacks at the appropriate targets, and not City Hall.

The pictures were done by the Downtown Kelowna Association, specifically students of the Business Association, and had nothing whatsoever to do with City Hall. It's an interesting idea, but as far as conspiracy theories go, that is a pretty weak one.

If anyone has a problem it's you guys at MoveKelownaForward. Immaturity is alive and well on your forum. Furthermore, you people are obsessed with John Zeger. You can't seem to fling enough mud at him. Is that because you are so weak on the issues and have to use personal attacks as a distraction from that fact?

Guest, Krishna, whoever you are since your both using the same IP address, we are not the ones that are claiming that the city has a secret agreement for Lawson landing just because some buildings were painted on a bathroom. Mr Zeger made that comment. We are just pointing out how misguided he is, and providing proof to that point. ;D

Haha.... your right matt, no need to be flinging mud. it is somewhat uncalled for no matter how easy it is to criticize. although mr.guest seems to be comming out with some real zingers there with that Mr. Wolf comment...... ouch. Now that is an intelligent comment. good one... maybe its time to grow up now though. We arent nine year olds again.

i'm the youngest here, but i still know that we need to respect others oppinions, no matter how much we ourselves disagree with it.
i respect Mr. Zeger's passion, even more so after meeting him in real life, knowing that there is actually a nice person there.
what i don't respect is being attacked by him. i know i've said a few bad things to him, but the only real problem is that we disagree on things.
i can still laugh at his ideas, and Mrs Guest (I'm guessing that you are Krishna, and that Krishna is a girls name), you are free to laugh at me all you want if you think i'm doing something funny, but don't attack me, or spread lies about me.

Thanks, John. Krishna is pronounced with an "sh" although it is sometimes spelled Krisna. In that case it usually has a dot over the "n". That is some incredible link. I enjoyed it myself and may buy one of the posters. I'm not sure if I can live up to my parents expectations of me, though.

Well there has been an update on this conspiracy theory that was sent to me again. This was posted in the CRCP site yesterday. Again full credit goes to Mr. John Zeger for his comments.
“Apparently, this mural was approved for display by the Downtown Kelowna Association. That is the impression left by an e-mail that I received from Clint McKenzie, President. The DKA supports Lawson Landing, but Mr. McKenzie claims this mural has nothing to do with L.L. But then George W. Bush said that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and most Americans believed him too”.
I will say that it has been mentioned that I am “mudslinging” this information. Unfortunately you can not “mudsling” someone’s own words and beliefs. However confused they maybe, but you can present them for the community to see and have them come to their own conclusion.
